We've often thought of the Teletubbies as Eloi from "The Time Machine". Their masters live underground, there are no adult Eloi, food is provided with no effort.....

That means that since Tinky Winky is the eldest, the Morlocks will get him next!

Where do replacement Eloi come from, then? I tend to think of Teletubbies as being immortal critters, turned Eloi-like from living in a hyper-benign environment (like all those birds that became flightless in pre-human New Zealand), more "Orchid Garden" than "Time Machine". And I do wonder if Papa Smurf is the only adult Smurf (and many other Smurfish questions). That's the sort of brain I have. :)

I'm at a loss trying to reconcile the images of the wonderful Aliens skittering around sideways in corridors and the pastel smiley-sun-face and bunnies.

... Smiley sunfaced alien bunnies.

To some of my friends, the idea of being pursued by a Teletubby scares them far worse than the drippy wet HR Giger nightmares.
