Years ago, I was taking care of the horses early one morning. It was really cold and I had to fill the water bucket at the faucet which was right next to the stall of a muscular palomino by the name of Twister.
I'm bent over, my own breath visible as I exhale over the running water, and then I hear "CLOMP!", right in my right ear. Surprised, I looked up, and found myself face to face with all of Twister's teeth. He had pushed his snout through the bars of his stall and attempted to bite me when I wasn't looking!
Well, time passed and I happened to catch the big boy dozing against the front wall of the stall; the same one he tried to get me through. Seeing his face pressed up against the bars, I carefully reached up and began scratching all the hard to reach places on his head and neck. From that day forward, Twister and I were the best of friends, and he would always press up against the bars for his morning scratch while the bucket filled.
I miss having horses around. If I were to do it today, I'd have a herd of miniatures to play with!
I did this photomanip using PS 2 or 3, I don't remember. A benign yawn becomes a demon horse. I did this as a bit of practice digitally painting and trying my damndest to make it look as real as I could.
