It's just about 3 o'clock in the morning and I've spent the evening watching Storm Hawks cartoons.  I love the Storm Hawks, especially Stork.  Anyway, I was bashing on some of the InuYasha height issues again and I found myself wondering about the age difference between InuYasha and his older brother Sesshomaru.  The two boys are very close together in height, and that triggered some cogitation.  Not only was Sesshomaru an adult (albeit recent) when we see him confront his father in the "Honorable Ruler" movie, but he also was not sealed to a tree in the time that InuYasha spent "dead", so he would have spent his entire life living normally (for him).  So, by the time InuYasha is reawakened, Sesshomaru would have added about 200 years of life to whatever he had achieved before he met his father on that windswept beach that night.  Taking a blue-sky guess, I could believe that Sesshomaru might well be somewhere around 800 years old or more.  Man, that's enough of this for now.  I'm really tired and even manic artists need snooze.

G'nite!

While I used to view the anime as its own canon as I do with most animes and mangas I now find myself leaning toward the manga only opinion. To me the third movie is not canon or any for that manner. I honestly don't see Sesshomaru or Inuyasha anymore than 100 or less.

I don't get everyone's infactuation on characters being hundreds to thousands of years old.

My logic on this is the fact that they're basically still young men, they both show it physically and mentally. On top of that there have been folks throught the piece that refer to the brothers as boy or pup implying that they're still young. Demon or not calling someone that who may be 500 to almost 1,000 years old is crazy. My main issue is also the fact that they seemed to have experienced so little outside of battle. I honestly don't see Inuyasha and Sesshomaru walking around for hundreds of countless years before they finally found someone that didn't fear, reject, or made them want to kill.

I came across a translated interview of RT where she stated Kagome's age and the other humans estimated age. She said as for Sesshomaru, Inuyasha, and Koga, it's basically up to the fans. I really hope it's a legit interview, you know how it goes with that. But it does sound more reasonable. To me anyway. And it is the shonen sunday site.
