(Dodging the hail of rubber chickens...)

I know I've been absent...  Sorry about that.  I've been sooooo frickin' busy and occupado that I am delinquent on a number of fronts.  This all happened because I let several big events go by without cleaning/putting away/clearing space/unpacking, so now I'm awash in things that need doing.  It's my own dang fault for getting distracted by the Sims 3.....  But it's so much fun....  Sigh.  It's kind of like chocolate.  Why is something that tastes soooo good so bad for you?  The Sims is the same way.  It's so much fun but it's bad for my schedules.  Urgh.

Anyway, enough dissembling.  Here's some bits and pieces that have come along:

InuYasha is being run again on Adult Swim.  Two episodes, back to back in the wee hours of Sunday morning.  I also saw a report that AS is planning to run the Final Act sometime in 2013.  I will try to confirm this.

There is a new Viz InuYasha calendar www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008… this year, but it uses outlines of previous "publicity" images.  Nothing we haven't seen before.  There is also a new Japanese desk calendar, but I haven't yet seen what images are in it.

There is a wall scroll of InuYasha stripped to the waist that I HAD to have.  www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007…  It's not like I have wall space for it, but how could I resist?  It's one of my favorite publicity images.

One thing that has distracted me of late has been watching (Asian Drama) episodes of Coffee Prince out of Korea.  What a WONDERFUL series!  Great characters, well played, and tremendous interactions.  I adored both the Manager and a character called Min Yeop, though all the characters were so well done that I loved them all.  Min Yeop especially caught my attention since he was a "gentle giant" of a guy who was so sweet and fun, I couldn't help but love him.  Kinda reminded me of my husband...  Anyway, after I completed all the episodes last night, I decided to surf the web for images of Lee Eon's (he played Min Yeop) other career achievements.

This is where the web can sometimes give you answers you don't want to find.  I was stunned to find out that he was the victim of a terrible motorcycle accident back in 2008, and died of a broken neck.  Here I had just come to like him so much and then I find out he died at the prime-of-life age of 27.  I can't describe the awful feelings I had at that moment.  Seeing the pix of his funeral and the bashed up motorcycle were tragic.  What a loss!

( I have no love for motorcycles.  I've seen the horrors of what happens to riders when they smash up badly.  It's almost always fatal.  One guy I saw was peeled like a grape, right out of his skin...  And it happened because he was performing stunts on his bike.)

BUT, I still love Coffee Prince and I HIGHLY recommend it.  I laughed and yes, I cried, and if it can wring that out of me, then it wins two thumbs up!

The anime I'm sort of into lately is Trinity Blood.  I have this thing about vampires, and my love of them has been reawakened.  Always did love the fanged bitey guys....

Time for me to scamper off and try to be productive.  Hope you all have a WONDERFUL and satisfying Thanksgiving, and if you don't have that holiday, I hope your Thursday was awesome!

Hugs to all!  More later.....
